Default User Roles
There are 5 template user roles available for the Control Center:
- Owner
- Admin
- Developer
- Team Member
- View Only
Below breaks down how each template role is named and set up by default:
Role |
Description |
Owner |
Each Riskified account has an appointed “Owner.” Only 1 user can be appointed as the owner (for each sub-account/main account). Typically, you want to assign the person on your team who is the main point-of-contact. The Owner will always have access to all Account Settings. This cannot be changed. |
Admin |
“Admin” users have the same access as the owner. The one exception is that Admins will not receive billing notifications by default (they must be manually added to Billing Email Notifications if they want to receive these). |
Developer |
"Developer" users have access to all Admin functionalities. Developers can also log in to Riskified’s sandbox environment in order to conduct tests. |
Team Member |
"Team Member" users have access to order data/actions and dashboard metrics. However, they do not have access to view/change account settings or billing information. |
View Only |
"View Only" users are able to see order data and dashboard metrics. However, they cannot perform any actions on orders or export reports. Just like team members, they do not have access to view/change account settings or billing information. |

Permissions for these products are customized during your integration process. Your dedicated Integration Engineer and Account Manager will set it up based on your needs. If you need assistance afterwards, you can reach out to Customer Support for assistance.
Custom User Roles and Permissions
We understand that your team may have specific needs when it comes to user management.
If you need to adjust the above permissions for the preset roles or create additional roles, you can contact your Account Manager or Customer Support for assistance. We are happy to work to customize user management for your business needs.
Add / Edit / Delete User
By default, the Owner, Admins, and Developers have the ability to manage users across the account.
- Log into the Control Center.
- Make sure you are toggled to the store (displayed in top right corner) where you would like to change users.
- Click on Account Settings (gear icon) in the bottom left corner.
- Go to the Users & Roles tab.
- A list of all users will be displayed on this tab.
- To add a user, click Add User. Enter the new user’s email address, role, and email notifications. Click Invite. The new user will receive an email invite that they need to “accept” in order to set up their password and log in.
- To edit an existing user, click on the relevant user and adjust what you need. Click Save Changes when you are finished.
- To delete a user, click on the relevant user. Select the trash can icon.
Note: These instructions also allow you to change a user's email notifications. To learn more, please see Email Notifications.
Reset Password
Use the following link to reset your password: https://app.riskified.com/app/login#reset-password. After entering your email address, you will receive an automated email with a customized link to reset your password.
Note: If your company uses Single Sign-On (SSO) for the Control Center, then you will need to speak to your internal IT team if you would like to reset your password.
