Company Name
You can change each of your store’s names that are displayed in the top right corner of the Control Center to make it easier for your team to recognize and toggle between different accounts.
To change the name displayed:
- Log into the Control Center. Make sure you are toggled to the sub-account/main account that you would like to change.
- Click on Account Settings (gear icon) in the bottom left corner. By default, this section is only accessible by the owner, admins, and developer roles.
- Go to the “Basic” tab. Under “Account Information,” you will be able to write in any name you prefer in the “Company Name” box.
- Click “Save Changes.”
Account Time Zone
You can set the default time zone that is used on the Control Center. Setting the account time zone will affect all users when they look at that account.
To set your account’s time zone:
- Log into the Control Center. Make sure you are toggled to the sub-account/main account that you would like to change.
- Click on Account Settings (gear icon) in the bottom left corner. By default, this section is only accessible by the owner, admin, and developer users.
- Go to the “Basic” tab. Under “Account Information,” you will be able to adjust your account’s time zone.
- Click “Save Changes.”
Note: Account Time Zone is for your overall account, while Personal Time Zone can be used by an individual user who wants a different time zone than the overall account. If you need to set your personal time zone, see Personal User Settings.
Order Quick Link
There are 2 quick link options available:
- You can easily navigate from orders in your shop's admin to the Control Center by using the following URL syntax and replacing the $orig_id with the ID of the order: https://app.riskified.com/app/orders?search=$orig_id.
- For API merchants only, you can also do the opposite. You can navigate from your orders in Riskified’s Control Center to the same order as seen in your shop's admin, CRM, or OMS. You can control the target of such links by setting a URL that contains the $orig_id tag. We will replace $orig_id with the ID of the order. For example: http://your.shop.com/admin/orders/$orig_id.
Shopify Settings
For Shopify merchants, you will see Riskified’s Shopify Settings in Account Settings. These settings manage your order flow in the Shopify Platform based on Riskified’s decision and serve as triggers to automate financial statuses (Auto-Capture for approvals and Auto-Void for declines) and initiate other actions inside Shopify (inventory restock and send cancellations emails for declined orders).
Note: These settings are only triggering events; we do not actually perform any of these “order flow” jobs. The actual action happens entirely on Shopify’s end.
To get a deep dive into these settings, see Shopify Settings.
Users & Roles
The users & roles tab within Account Settings allows you to add, remove, and manage your users. Please see User Roles & Permissions and Email Notifications for more information.
Export Data to Cloud Service
If your team would like to export data from the Control Center to your cloud service (instead of receiving it by email), you can set this up in Account Settings. Note: This type of export is only available inside Riskified’s platform where “Schedule Export” is available.
For a detailed technical guide on how to set this up:
- Go to Control Center > Account Settings > Export.
- Click on your preferred Cloud Service (AWS S3, Google Cloud Platform).
- A link to a detailed guide will be available for whichever cloud service you select.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Settings
Users (excluding merchants who use SSO) are required to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) by an authenticator app or email verification when logging into the Control Center. This is meant to enhance security and streamline the login process. MFA settings affect all users who have access to that particular store. See below for more details on MFA settings.
What are my options for MFA settings?
The following MFA options are available:
- Authenticator App Only (default setting)
- Email-based OTP Only
- Authenticator App and Email-based OTP (Note: Your team will need to use an authenticator app to complete the initial enrollment process. After enrollment, your team can use either authenticator app or email verification for future logins.)
How can I change the MFA setting on my account?
If your team wants the option to use email verification instead of (or in addition to) an authenticator app for MFA, the owner or any admin on your account can make this change. However, please note that email-based OTP is not recommended by security as it poses a higher risk:
- Go to Control Center > Account Settings.
- Click on the Security Settings tab.
- You can choose to have only authenticator app, only email-based OTP, or both email-based OTP and authenticator app. Once you have made your selection(s). Click “Save Changes”.
What happens if I have multiple stores/accounts? How do I set up MFA?
For every store/account, the default setting is “Authenticator App only”. If you want to change it, you will need to change it on each store/account that you have. This means you have to toggle to each store and then go into the Account Settings of that store. We recommend that you set the MFA settings the same across all of your accounts/stores for consistency. However, this is ultimately up to you on how you want to set it up.
I don’t want to use MFA. Can I opt out?
For security reasons, MFA is required. However, your team can choose to change to email-based OTP (one-time password).
Can I change the MFA authentication setting for just a single user (i.e., I only want joe@merchant.com to have “email-based OTP” but everyone else to have “authenticator app”)?
In terms of MFA settings, there is not a way for only 1 particular user to have a special MFA setting that is different from your other users. Instead, you will need to decide how you want to set MFA for your entire store.
