OVERVIEW
This article gives recommendations on how to test on Riskified’s platform.

Test in Sandbox
The sandbox environment in Riskified allows merchants to connect their staging environments to our system and test the integration before moving to production. Even after going live with Riskified, the sandbox accounts can still be utilized when implementing new flows, a new gateway, or any other technical reasons.
In the sandbox environment, merchants can manually submit orders and select the order decision from the Riskified integration wizard or the sandbox Control Center.
We can also set up a rule that will either auto-approve or auto-decline a test order based on certain parameters (i.e., decline all orders with email test@test.com). If you need this set up, reach out to support@riskified.com.
Note: Sandbox accounts can only be created for merchants with API or Magento integrations. If you are a Shopify merchant that needs to test, please reach out to support@riskified.com so that we can advise on how to test for this particular integration.
Test in Production
For API and Magento integrations, we advise against testing in Production because this environment was not built to handle unclean data. Instead, we always recommend running tests in Sandbox instead. However, if the test will only work in Production, please reach out to support@riskified.com so that we can advise on how to properly place test orders.
Note: Shopify works differently as Shopify sites are set in production. Please reach out to support@riskified.com so that we can advise on how to test for this particular integration.
Load Test
Riskified makes preparations in a continuous effort to ensure that our infrastructure, systems, and processes are tested, secure, and scaled ahead of the holiday season. Additionally, we continuously invest in system resiliency, scalability, and monitoring throughout the year. We ask merchants to bypass our systems during their load testing period, as load testing in both production and sandbox is not allowed. If there is a specific concern that you want Riskified to address, please reach out to your Account Manager or support@riskified.com.
